Leading the Way to a Safer Colorado

2020 Fall Conference
Sponsored in part by:

The 2020 Fall Conference came to a close and we are very pleased to announce that it was a successful conference for all. Despite Covid-19 restrictions, civil unrest, and fires in our state, the Sheriffs and Undersheriffs were able to come together and discuss many of the issue facing their communities today.  They received training and time to collaborate face to face.

There were several training topics presented, which I have attached all the links to those resources below.  These resources are available exclusively to Sheriffs and Undersheriffs.

2021 Winter Conference

Message from CSOC Executive Director:

Over the past weeks, the County Sheriffs of Colorado’s Board of Directors and staff have been analyzing and evaluating the efficacy and safety of hosting our Winter Conference. After much deliberation, we have made the decision to CONTINUE with our plans to host the Annual Conference during the normally scheduled time period. Of course, this decision is subject to change based on additional guidance and/or restrictions that may be enacted by the Governor or the host hotel.  We want all conference participants to know that your safety and health is paramount. We will be working with the hotel to create and implement the safest and healthiest environment possible, following CDC guidelines for personal safety and hygiene.
Once again, we will partner with the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) as we provide our members with quality training to help officers receive the statutorily required hours of continuing law enforcement education credits per year. While we are still working on the training agenda, rest assured we will present current, relevant information, calling on representatives from various state agencies to help us learn from our experiences and plan for the future.
We are also moving forward with plans to swear in the 2021 Board of Directors, Honor and Recognize our supporters, host a silent auction, and the best vendor show in Colorado. Through it all we will be taking ample precautions to ensure our events are carried out in the safest manner possible.
Registration for vendors, sponsors, and participants will look different this year as we migrate to a new online system. Please watch for your opportunity to register for the conference, which we expect to have available by mid-July. In the meantime, mark your calendars and plan to join us in January.

 2020 Winter Conference Recap

We showcased over 170 vendors who were able to display their products and services to sheriffs, police agencies and state patrol.  Over 200 attendees were given the opportunity to discuss their needs with a wide range of service providers.

In addition, the sheriffs and their staff attended critical professional and technical training courses with a wide range of topics and instructors.  And what make this year's training unique; we were joined by the Colorado Chiefs of Police, combining the needs of both law enforcement groups in meeting their training needs and encouraging increased collaboration.  It worked so well that we can't wait to partner again in 2021!
